Turning Acts

Such a brightly lit room
SUch a huge crowd
The spotlight's on me
And the snore of sleeping people reach my ears
I ignore them as they do me
And continue my part as it was written
Line by line and act by act
I recite perfectly each and every word
Till at least I reach the end of my speech
When the deaf silence reaches my ears
I weep silently inside, thinking
They all hate me
Buty then one by one they begin to clap
Until the noise level deafens me once again
And I hear blessed silence once again
Roses pile at my feet as people above me
Everything is silent in sound, but loud in vision
My eyes open and now I can truly see
I have done something right here today
Something right
One act of anger turned to kindness.
