To the Sunrise

Sitting passively by
Stoic and strong face put on
As the tearful goodbyes are carried out
And the water streaming by
Time passes, then slowly fades away
The wind whispers past
And future has no bearings here
Under this old oak tree
To sit and watch time go pass us by
That's all I ask
To sit here with you eternally
Or at least until the sun rises.
