Stand at the edge and see if I can resist
I don't think I've ever known anybody
You must be special, though how so
hey, look, you're standing at the edge
gee, you were pretty silent on the way down,
of course, i never imagined that you had so much blood
hey look, your eyes are fluttering open
it's a wonder that wonderful brain of yours
you always were special, though how so
pushing you off to see if you scream when you fall
and what kind of noise you make when you hit the rocks below
that could fall so long and hit things so hard
and still survive to remember doing it
I have no idea and it makes me wonder
if it's all worthwhile to be special
nope, i can't resist pushing you off
to see if you scream when you fall
and what kind of noise you make when you hit the rocks below
(except for that puppy whimper)
and you didn't really hit the rocks
(the rocks hit you with a crunch of bones)
but now we know I can't resist.
though I do know the average adult human has five pints
still, it gushes out in streams more streamlined than consciousness
you seem to look right through me
as you smile and raise your hand
to wave a lttle wave goodbye
survived that long after your impact
on the sharp rocks that hit you with a thud/crunch.
I never will know- but it makes me wonder
if it's all worthwhile to be so special.
