Sonnet About Nothing

O endless night
Where hath your beginnings?
Just like a circle
With no beginning
And no end in sight
The serpent eats its tail
As the raven and dragon fight
Midnight black clashes with crimson red for eternity
And summer withers and dies
The winter's coming; the winter has come
The frost has fallen; the snow's now sure to follow
Green clover has died and trouble befallen the land
And never again will the wind carry the sweet smell of lavender
As the cold rain brings the truth to light...
