Nothing But Trees

The rain falls endlessly outside
Mirroring the inside depression I feel
I stare out the open window
As strains of "My Dark Life" play past my ears.
The wind whistles through the treetops
And the boughs wave gently in rhythym.
Cars race past on the highway,
Filled with laughter and holiday cheer
WHile I sit, in dark quiet,
Filling hte void with nothing
Thinking of nothing.
There is nothing.
Forever more.
