Midtown Adventure (Denture)
She looks at the lights of the city
		through windows
	filtered with fog and raindrops.
But she can't stand to see through
		blurry glass coated with tears
	so she
          wipes away the sorrow of
	the city's day from her eyes.

And the smell of gasoline and bagels
		on the bus
	reminds her of what she's running from;
Doesn't she know
	         she can never truly
		escape
	the things that want you to remember them
